Select the size of the table by how big a table you want to play on, and how much room you have where you will put the table. Experts recommend the largest table available for your space.

Focus mainly on the playing surface measurements. Then allow room around the playing surface for cue stick clearance. If you have room for your cue sticks, you will have plenty of room to walk and move around your new pool table.

The pool table industry refers to table sizes as 4' x 8' or 4 1/2' x 9', but the external dimensions of the table itself are larger. Measure you space before choosing the table size as people may think they have enough room only to find out otherwise after delivery. Tables come in four different sizes:
